There’s something special about staying somewhere with a story.

The Historic John Ogle Farmhouse at Wildflower is one of the oldest homes on the property and the first house we restored when Wildflower began. Located in Sevierville, Tennessee just minutes from Dollywood, Pigeon Forge, and the Smoky Mountains, this historic farmhouse blends original character with the comfort families and groups actually want on vacation.

Unlike many Smoky Mountain cabins, the Farmhouse feels warm, grounded, and lived in. Original handmade brick fireplaces, wood details, and historic touches give the home personality you simply can’t recreate in newer builds, while updated spaces make it easy to gather, cook meals together, relax after long days exploring, or settle in for slower mornings with coffee around the table.

The home includes:

  • Four bedrooms and three-and-a-half bathrooms

  • Multiple living spaces for gathering or spreading out

  • A large dining table with seating for shared meals and game nights

  • A modern kitchen with additional seating at the island

  • An upstairs media room with a poker table and pull-out couch

  • A gas fire pit, grill, and outdoor gathering space

  • Seasonal use of the original fireplaces

Whether you’re visiting for a family vacation, a holiday gathering, a Dollywood trip, or a long weekend in the Smokies, the Farmhouse offers something that’s harder and harder to find in vacation rentals: character, comfort, and enough space to actually enjoy being together.

The Farmhouse remains one of our favorite restoration projects because we were able to preserve so much of what made the home special while giving it new life for future generations of guests. We hope you love it as much as we do.

Why Guests Love the Farmhouse

  • Historic character without sacrificing comfort

  • Easy access to Dollywood, Pigeon Forge, and Gatlinburg

  • Plenty of room for families and groups

  • Multiple gathering spaces without feeling crowded

  • Original fireplaces and farmhouse details

  • Convenient location without steep mountain roads

The location was incredible – it was so peaceful and beautiful, and felt like you were in the middle of nowhere, but it was less than 10 minutes to Dollywood and the parkway. The place is also huge with plenty of room to spread out and enjoy.
