Jersey Hustle: Our Go-To Pizza Night in the Smokies
Sometimes you’re looking for a memorable dinner out. Sometimes you’re looking for the restaurant you’ll keep ordering from over and over again because everyone in the group is happy and nobody has to overthink it.
For us, that’s Jersey Hustle.
It’s our favorite pizza place in the area and one of the easiest recommendations we make to guests staying at Wildflower. The Pine Mountain Road location is especially convenient from our properties, and getting there doesn’t involve sitting in traffic wondering whether pizza was really worth this much effort. It is.
Pizza Done Right
Pizza is one of those foods that seems simple until you find a place that does it really well. Jersey Hustle gets the fundamentals right.
The sauce has just enough kick to keep things interesting without overpowering everything else. The cheese-to-sauce ratio is exactly where it should be. The toppings are generous without turning the pizza into a structural engineering problem.
You can build your own pizza if you’re a traditionalist, or choose from some of their more creative specialty combinations if you’re feeling adventurous. Either way, it’s hard to go wrong.
More Than Just Pizza
One of the reasons Jersey Hustle works so well for families and groups is that not everybody has to be in a pizza mood.
They offer pizza by the slice, whole pizzas, calzones, subs, salads, and garlic bread. That’s usually enough variety to satisfy the person who wants pizza, the person who doesn’t want pizza, and the person who somehow ended up wanting a salad at a pizza place. Every family seems to have one.
A Good Option for Gluten-Free Guests
Traveling with dietary restrictions can make restaurant decisions surprisingly complicated.
Jersey Hustle offers a gluten-free cauliflower crust option, which gives gluten-free guests a chance to participate in pizza night instead of settling for whatever side dish looks safest. That’s always appreciated.
The Kind of Place You End Up Visiting More Than Once
A lot of vacation restaurants fall into the category of “that was good.” Jersey Hustle falls into the category of “should we just get that again?”
It’s easy. It’s reliable. The food is consistently good. The portions are generous. The menu works for families, couples, and groups. It travels really well.
Sometimes after a long day hiking in the Smokies, exploring Dollywood, or wandering around Pigeon Forge, you don’t need a special occasion dinner. You just need a really good pizza.
Would We Go Back?
Frequently. In fact, if we’re being honest, Jersey Hustle probably sees us more often than some of our relatives.
There are plenty of pizza places in Sevier County, but this is the one we keep coming back to. Good pizza. Good variety. Convenient location. What more could you want?
